Tonight I read 4 bedtime stories. Take that times about 25 pages per book. Factor in a question from Elena every time I turn the page.
And you have approximately 50 questions in under 30 minutes beginning with "Mommy! Mommy! Why....?"
I think I need a drink.
(By the way, here's a tip for other parents going through the "Why?" phase: around question #45, I realized that it became slightly more bearable to endure the endless onslaught of Why?s by coming up with ridiculous responses. At least it became somewhat entertaining for me - even if the kids didn't get it.....)
