Elena and Sam showed very little interest in food until they were a year old. Between the two of them, we probably went through a total of 4 jars of baby food.
Not the case with Charlie. Not only does he go through about a jar of baby food a day, he is also not picky. It's about time! Let's hope his willingness to eat whatever we put in front of him sticks :)

Falling Behind
We've been extremely busy this July so I haven't been able to get a chance to update the blog much. On the flip side, I'll have lots to write about on here whenever I do get around to it. For the time being, here are some highlights from June.

Sam to the Rescue
We went out to eat with some of Seth's family at The Lowry in Minneapolis a few weeks ago. A note to anyone planning to eat there in the future: The food is great. However, the following information may come into handy if you sit in the corner booth.
Charlie got hungry, and there wasn't room for him to nurse with my bulky diaper bag sitting next to me. So I hoisted the bag up onto what appeared to be a ledge behind the booth. Only it wasn't a ledge. Unless you consider a 5-foot drop to the floor with no access from any direction other than up to be a ledge.
Considering that my wallet, phone and car keys were all in the bag, I didn't think it wise to just leave it behind. Elena was a little hesitant to be lowered into a narrow pit, but Sam eagerly volunteered to go down to retrieve my bag. He also found a toy truck and a pacifier, to which I hope their owners were not strongly attached. Of course, once Sam was back up the kids kept asking to go down there for the rest of the meal.
I didn't realize that Seth's brother John was taking pictures of the whole incident until he sent them two us. Here we are recovering the purse.
