Elena, though, has had a rough couple of days with an RSV/ear infection/teething trifecta. But I can tell she's feeling better because every time I try to get something done (like feeding Sam), she gets into mischief. Today has been especially eventful - so far she has:
1. dumped flour all over herself, the counter, the floor and the chair (which she recently learned helps her to reach much higher!)
2. tried to lift Sam out of his chair and came dangerously close to succeeding (this was while I was cleaning up the flour)
3. written all over herself with a marker (her arms and torso are very yellow!)
4. woken Sammy from his nap by pinching his poor little ear (3 times)
5. and taken off all of her clothes - diaper included (4 times) - although I think she just did it again. Let me go check....yup. make that 5 times. gotta go!
....Still, at the end of the day when they cuddle in my lap to read stories and Elena gives me a kiss goodnight, it melts my heart.
I love being a mom.

Ugh, RSV is yucky. I had it last year-even when you're an adult it's no fun!
I really liked this entry! Elena is funny! Being sick is no fun, so hopefully everyone feels better soon! We just had a huge outbreak of some vomiting/diarrhea virus (it has a name too) in our 1-year-old room and I caught it too and it was horrible, so I pray that everyone feels better! Love you and Happy Birthday!
I hope the kids are on the mend! It's no fun being sick. Our prayers are with you!
Norwalk. It's called Norwalk virus. Or sometimes that can be caused by Rotavirus too.
It's great to have a pediatrician reading the blog :)
