Happy St. Paddy's Day!
They're only 1/8 Irish, but I think Elena is proof that just a little bit of Irish blood goes a loooooooooooong way. She has no need to kiss the Blarney stone.
It's looking like Sammy might be a bit of a talker, too. I'll put up a video of him cooing as soon as I can.

Stuck
One of the fun parts about living with someone skilled in fixing things is that I get to hear phrases that I would never dream of uttering myself. Like the other day when I came home to hear Seth yelling up to his brother Ricky, "Just cut off the door frame. I can fix it later - it's no big deal."
Looking to see what kind of a pickle they had gotten themselves into, I found this.
Apparently, our fuel tank was a little too big to fit through the door, and Seth was trapped on the stairs holding it for about a half hour while Ricky made some extra room with a saw. It still took some tugging - Ricky managed to throw himself into our truck. Luckily, he wasn't hurt. Although he dented the truck...with his back. Pretty sure I would have been hurting just a little after that.
I have a feeling I may have been getting a glimpse into our future if we end up with a few boys. Should be fun!

Living with a toddler
I found the missing fingernail clippers....

Growing quickly!
I recall my mother-in-law telling me to double the age when picking out baby clothes (for example, buy 12-month clothes for a 6 month old). Elena was always right on for clothes so I thought maybe they just made clothes smaller back when we were kids. But it turns out Elena just took after my side of the family - the doubling-age technique is how you have to shop for "Myhre kids."
Sammy has definitely inherited Seth's physique. He moved into his 6-9 month clothes before he even reached 3 months. He is now 15 1/2 lbs - approximately the size Elena was at about 6 months. I find it funny how he looks like a normal baby when Seth or his brothers hold him, but when I hold him he looks abnormally gigantic. Boy, am I glad he came out 2 weeks early at under 7 pounds!
