Literally

There are a few words that really annoy Seth when they are overused. "Like" is one of them. "Literally" is another (especially when it is used incorrectly).

Today Charlie asked me if I wanted to play the "Literally Game."
"What's that?" I asked.
"It's when you have to use the word 'literally' in every sentence you say."
"Ummmm...."
And then he started playing, literally using the word literally in every sentence he said.

After a little while, I said, "You know, Daddy hates that word. You probably shouldn't play this game when he is around."
"You mean he literally hates the word literally?"

Which begs the question: is the word "hate" too strong to be used literally in reference to one's feelings toward an annoying word.
